Barcelona Femení’s Champions League history has become one of the greatest stories in modern women’s football.
Their first title came in 2021.
They returned to the top in 2023.

2026: The Latest Triumph
The 2025/26 campaign ended with one of Barcelona’s most impressive European performances.
They defeated OL Lyonnes 4–0 in the final in Oslo.
It was the fourth Champions League title in the club’s history.
But the achievement was bigger than the final score.
Barcelona had reached the final for the sixth consecutive season.
A Remarkable Run
Barcelona’s 2025/26 European campaign included major victories against some of Europe’s strongest teams.
They finished first in the league phase and progressed through the knockout rounds before reaching the final.
The consistency was extraordinary.
Defending the Crown
Now comes the difficult part.
Barcelona enter the 2026/27 Champions League as holders.
They are top seeds in the new 18-team league phase.
The league phase requires each team to play six different opponents.
The top four qualify directly for the quarter-finals, while teams finishing fifth through 12th enter knockout play-offs.
Can Barça Do It Again?
History suggests they have every reason to believe they can.
But European football becomes more competitive every year.
